Henderson County Sheriff Matt Link reports the anonymous Crime Stoppers resource in the county is now more active and accepting tips:
“The Crime Stoppers phone is a separate phone line from the Sheriff’s Office, but it does ring into a separate phone into our Sheriff’s office. Either a deputy or one of our dispatchers would answer that phone. It is completely anonymous. You will be assigned a number that we give you. Keep that number, write it down. The information that you give us will be given to the lead detective or lead deputy that is doing that case for that tip and will follow up on it. If you tip leads to an arrest and you see the Crime Stoppers page or the Sheriff’s Office Facebook page themselves or you hear it on the radio or news media that there has been an arrest made, then call back into the Crime Stoppers telephone number with the number that we originally gave you as your “identification number” and then we will make arrangements to get some money to you.”
Sheriff Link reports tip have been given to the Henderson County Crime Stoppers regarding burglaries throughout the county.
