Roger Still, 68, of Berwick, Illinois, passed away at 6:51 p.m., Friday, January 12, 2024 at Allure of Knox County in Galesburg, Illinois. Roger was born December 1, 1955 in the Saunders Clinic, Warren County, Avon, Illinois, the son of Clifford and Esther (Thompson) Still.

Roger grew up in the Bushnell area. He attended Checkrow one room school house east of Bushnell in Fulton County and later Bushnell/Prairie City High School where he played football. He graduated in 1973. He then attended Spoon River College in Canton.

He married Vicki Hinkle on August 11, 2001 in Abingdon and she survives.

He was employed in Agriculture related fields from 1973-2013 and drove a school bus for the Monmouth-Roseville School District from 2013-2022.

Roger could recall anything from the past or solve any equation you asked him. He was a lifetime Vegas Raiders football fan, enjoyed hunting, camping, showing horses, working on tractors and farming. He also loved going to/selling things at the area flea markets. His greatest joy was spending time with his wife and son and best four legged buddy Raider.

Those left to cherish his memory are; wife, Vicki; one son, Deek Still. Several nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Joyce Still.

A time of visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m.-7:00 p.m. Saturday, January 20, 2024 with celebration service to start at 7. Cremation rites will be accorded following the visitation. A private burial in the Prairie City Cemetery will take place at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to the wishes of the family and left in the care of the funeral home.
